Memoirs of a Japanese Cell Phone
A trip to Mount Fuji with the boss of the company that I did my internship at. It is really cold at the base. You can actually drink the water that runs down from the mountain..

Â
A dude in roppongi at 6am who had foam coming out of his mouth. Drunk or high of the hard shit?

Â
Watch I bought from Yodobashi last year. You like?

Â
Brazilian dancer at a joint called Tucanos in Shibuya. I know you like this one

Â
My two babies Midnight (blue) and Greed (rainbow). RIP Greed…

Â
Some good cake I ate at Harbs last Sunday. It is in Shinjuku. I recommend that you go NOW!!

Â
A map to hell! Never leave home without one..

Â
Can you guess what I bought?

Â
Â
Promtheus sick (Sub-zero mode)

A beautiful gift I recieved from a lady when I finshed my intern. The Japanese translates into something like this (slightly different) “Isn’t it amazing that in this large world, me and you met.” Pretty touching message. It makes me appreciate the good people that I have been lucky enough to meet in this cold world…

Â
Ill leave this caption up to you…

@Michael Flux

May 13th, 2009 at 11:07 am
@Prometheus - Well, that would be an ass thing to do :p
May 13th, 2009 at 11:14 am

There are amazing people in this cold world.

Let’s see… you bought a washine machine?
May 13th, 2009 at 11:59 am
@lina
Lolo. Nice try, but you have the wrong answer. A washing machine is a lil bit bigger yo
May 13th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
@Prometheus - Hmm, thats a hard one given how much different stuff Yodobashi sells… The big box is a perfect size for a rice cooker… And the smaller one is perfect for a point & shoot camera… :p
May 13th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
That’s a sweet watch!! Dancer isn’t bad either
May 13th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
@Michael Flux
Good guess though. As a reward I shall give you a clue.
So close.. But so far
It is a food appliance!
@Lyndon
Hehe yeah the watch is designed in a cool way so that you can see all the stuff moving every tick. The dancer looked even better in real life
May 13th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
@Prometheus - pfft, screw that reward, if you want to reward me make me something to eat in that appliance of yours :p
May 13th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
the nappies washing machine is quite small. XD I remember wanting to get one when I saw them at Yodobashi.
An air purifier maybe?
I’m trying hard not to comment on the Brazillian dancer or the last photo.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
Nice pics. How much did the watch cost? Is it acurate? I think this brand is part of Seiko, isn’t it?
May 13th, 2009 at 4:11 pm
@Michael Flux
Haha if you guess what it is I will
@lina
Lol I have no kids (apart from my fish). And the clue is it is a food appliance
You think the brazillian dancer is hot? Freedom of speech. Speak your mind
@Nino
I don’t understand “Is it accurate?” lol. Guess I am a watch noob..
It is called Sonne some Japanese brand. It might be seiko… The watch cost like 200,000 JPY. IM BALLING YO!!!
May 13th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
What’s in the box?
May 13th, 2009 at 8:15 pm
Wow, a trip to Mt. Fuji with the boss sounds impressive! Also, do you really need a MAP to find hell?
May 13th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
@Anna Liffen
aww you didnt even take a guess
The answer is a home bakery. Making bread is so easy
@Kristine
lol yeah he was a real cool dude. I used to hang out with his family and stuff quite a lot. I should actually mail him hehe.
>Also, do you really need a MAP to find hell?
hmm techinically speaking, no… lol
May 14th, 2009 at 2:37 am
At first I thought your fish were birds and I was all “What is wrong with those birds?” and then I realized I am a moron.
P.S. That cake is calling to me….
May 14th, 2009 at 2:39 am
Man, you’re attempt to trick me, failed miserably
May 14th, 2009 at 5:12 am
Cool pics!
Very nice watch!
And holy mother of Bob and all that is tasty and righteous @ that cake!!!!!!!
Ps: I’m disappointed
I was going to guess that your mysterious package was one of those George Foreman grill thingies!!! *sigh*
May 14th, 2009 at 6:40 am
Hi Prometheus, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. My first visitor from Japan!
I like the watch, but I’m not a great cake eater. As for the mysterious shopping… should be books (especially mine)… probably beer. Caption for the last picture - “Should have gone to specsavers.” (Do you have that advert in Japan?)
By the way, my book Cut Short is available to preorder from amazon in Japan, or you can probably go to amazon.com?
May 14th, 2009 at 9:08 am
@Miss Yvonne
I am looking at the picture trying to see if I can see the slightest hint of bird… No luck atm hehe
Which cake you like best?
@Nino
Lol im playing it cost way less than that
@Girl Interrupted
Pretty big aswell. You were wrong, but you read my mind. The next kitchen utility I want is a Foreman grill. Followed by a waffle maker lol
The cake is awesome right
@Leigh Russell
Haha Im from London myself so I know the specssavers commercial lol. Kinda feel nostalgic seeing that quote. Yeah I think I can use both. I will add it to my reading list
May 15th, 2009 at 5:18 am
HAHA at the glasses.. are all these pictures taken off your phone!? I like the watch and have yet to visit Mt. Fuji, I’ve only been to Osaka, Kyoto (where I thought I’d die) and Tokyo… do you love Japan???
May 15th, 2009 at 10:08 am
@Chloe
Like most things in life the allure of things you want wear off when you actually get them…
The glasses are super cool and yes they were all taken with my phone (hence the quality). Why did u think you would die in Kyoto? Are you in Japan? I used to love Japan now I guess I just like it
May 16th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
nice pics with the phone? what type is it? is the same one Darth Vader used in Japan
http://japansugoi.com/wordpress/darth-vader-and-the-japanese-schoolgirls/
May 17th, 2009 at 5:06 am
@danny
hehe unfortunately I don’t have that phone. Funny thing is I don’t remember seeing those adverts either. It reminds me though I need to get a new phone. You can probably tell from the timestamp on the first pic lol..
